Darrell Eugene Harlow-Curtis
Darrell Eugene Harlow-Curtis has lived his life at the intersection of faith, service, and story. A U.S. Army Chaplain for more than two decades, he currently serves as Deputy Garrison Chaplain at Fort Eustis (Joint Base Langley-Eustis), guiding soldiers and families through the unseen battles of soul and spirit. His ministry is marked by endurance, resilience, and a conviction that faith holds when all else fails. Beyond the uniform, Darrell is the creator of the Vaelerin Chronicles — a multi-layered universe anchored by his debut trilogy, Lucifer’s Successor: Ashes, Vengeance, Redemption. His work weaves theology with narrative, pulling threads of legacy, rebellion, endurance, and divine truth into a story world that resonates beyond the page. The Vaelerin sigil — crown, wings, flame, and the words Stand. Resist. Endure. — has become both his creative hallmark and personal creed. A builder as much as a writer, Darrell is crafting an ecosystem of books, designs, and symbolic works — from novels to merchandise, from digital communities to enduring visual marks. His vision is not only to tell stories, but to leave a legacy: one that challenges, inspires, and calls others to stand firm in faith and conviction. Darrell holds a Master of Divinity and a Master of Science in Business Administration, blending theological depth with organizational leadership. As he approaches retirement from military service, he continues to re-invent himself — not as someone stepping away from calling, but as someone extending it into new fields of creativity, entrepreneurship, and witness. At the core of it all — whether in chapel, on the page, or through the Vaelerin standard — is the same charge: Stand. Resist. Endure.
